Juventus FC

FC Porto

Tuesday evening provides us with another episode of Champions League football. This time Juventus takes on Porto after taking a 2 goal lead in the first leg.

Juventus will be happy with their first leg advantage of 2 goals. The early red card for Porto managed to help them immensely. Since the first leg Juventus managed to get 3 wins and a draw in the league. They only failed to win their game away at Udinese but managed to beat rivals AC Milan with a last minute shocker. At home Juventus are unbeaten since 2015 and are in a run of 9 straight wins. Adding to that keeping a clean sheet often with 5 in their last 7 games in the Champions League. Chielini and Barzagli are both going through late fitness tests which makes them doubtful for going into the starting lineup while Stefano Sturaro will definitely miss the game through injury.

Porto bounced back perfectly after the Juventus defeat. They managed to win 3 games in the league scoring 12 goals and keeping a clean sheet in all 3 of them. This on paper may look like a good run but comparing the standards of the Portuguese league and the Italian Serie A shows some significant difference in quality. Porto is a strong home team and looks somewhat shaky playing away even in the league. Their away record is not as impressive as it should be as they have only won half of their last 20 games. On the team news for Porto winger Jesus Corona is injured, while left back Alex Telles is suspended after getting a red card the previous game.

I doubt Juventus having trouble at home after their impressive home record. Sure they won’t be that motivated but still the difference in quality will be too much. I expect a job well done from Juventus without much effort but done with enough professionalism. 1-0/2-0 looks the most likely result for me thus my pick here will be for a home win at odds of 1.75 in Bet365. Good Luck!
